drawing challenge: daily project

the subject of this week is chosen by the queen of daily projects Stefanie

daily project
the first thing i think of are the daily recurring business
of running this household  ;^))


for this drawing challenge i restart my project 2014
east Indian ink, water, one brush and leftover pieces of paper
this time houses appear, prompted by
the household ;^))  and the interior project i am working on
first one small house in a gloomy environment
but as the week progresses that changes into
two or more houses that blend into each other
connectedness


but
my first idea for 2014 was a daily project ala Stefanie
i even bought a similar small agenda
but i sustained only the first 10 days of the year
as you can see below

gloomy

outside it's gray, grey, chilly and wet
gloomy
outside and within
rhythm and patterns that recur
every year
no, this is not my favorite time of the year

i make my little portraits with brush and ink
but am not satisfied
i haven't found my way yet
but when i thoughtlessly work wet-in-wet
her face appears and i have to smile



somber

buiten is het grauw, grijs, kil en nat
somber
buiten en van binnen
ritme en patronen die terugkeren
elk jaar
nee, dit is niet mijn favoriete tijd van het jaar

ik maak m'n kleine portretten met penseel en inkt
maar ben niet tevreden
ik heb mijn manier nog niet gevonden
maar wanneer ik gedachteloos nat-in-nat werk
verschijnt haar gezicht en moet ik glimlachen

project 2014

i admire Stefanie's beautiful 2013 agenda, Barbara's collage-project
and Kristen's disposable drawings, as she calls them
and i really like the portraits of Marlene Dumas
all this adds up to my 2014 project:
east indian ink, water, watercolor and only one brush
on small leftover pieces of paper
working fast so i will not be tempted to make them perfect  ;^))

the model i have used for the faces comes from the
2010 spring/summer catalog of mina perhonen



ik bewonder Stefanie's 2013 agenda, Barbara's collage-project
en Kristen's wegwerp tekeningen, zoals zij ze noemt
en ik hou erg van de portretten van Marlene Dumas
dit alles heeft geleid tot mijn 2014 project:
oost Indische inkt, water, waterverf en slecht één penseel
op kleine reststukken papier
snel werkend zodat ik niet in de verleiding kom ze perfect te maken  ;^))

het model dat ik heb gebruikt voor de gezichten komt uit de
2010 lente/zomer catalogus van mina perhonen
