Nadine and i meet the day before
we start at Villa Augustus with coffee and cake
and meet nudes at the Kunsthal in Rotterdam

the next day we meet Ingrid
at the same place as six years ago
so many years and things in between
but it doesn't feel like it

two days full of words and stories,
laughter, food, and friendship

Nadine en ik ontmoeten elkaar de dag ervoor
we starten in Villa Augustus met koffie en taart
en ontmoeten naakten in de Kunsthal in Rotterdam

de volgende dag ontmoeten we Ingrid
op dezelfde plaats als zes jaar geleden
zoveel jaren en dingen er tussenin
maar het voelt niet zo

twee dagen vol woorden en verhalen,
gelach, eten en vriendschap
bedankt! X

the snails have a GARDEN PARTY in our garden
which was the theme 
of the last drawing challenge/art challenge
hosted by sweet TAMMIE

i really would like to join the art challenge again
that's why i force myself to be the host  ;^))

the coming weeks 
will be even more filled with work
because i need to finish much 
before the summer holidays
and than there are the headaches 
(probably related to work ;^))
so it's sometimes difficult to focus

in between i work in the garden
enjoying the incredible blue 
of the lupins and delphiniums

so, hence the theme for the 196th challenge of JUNE 11-12:

i had plans, as always
but to little time, as always....

after days of hard work with my father
- we have rebuilt our attic -
it was time to paint those new walls
- instead of making a drawing for this art challenge-
in a soft grey like the sky outside
and
besides that
i painted the walls of the room of youngest
in a beautiful skyblue

at the end of the day
the sun broke through
the sky!!

ik mis het, het bloggen, de drawing challenges
en ik wilde echt meedoen en tekenen
maar ik deed het niet
sorry
ik keek het nieuws.... 13.11.15....
en verlang naar liefde en menselijkheid,

ik zou willen dat de wereld kon zijn als

hoewel er geen hert in zijn verhalen voorkomt  ;^))

how i love it
normally i pick the seepods
but this year they bloom later
or we are early
therefor i take pictures instead

we should certainly, alongside Rotterdam and Delft,
wander here for a day

which was held in the garden of a monumental house

the house had been empty for more than 10 years

afgelopen zaterdag waren we op een feestje
dat werd gehouden in de tuin van een monumentaal huis
oude en vergane chique
het huis had meer dan 10 jaar leeggestaan
met al het meubilair er in, en meer, zoals deze kleine vogel

ik wens jullie allen een zomerse juli

a few weeks ago i spent the day with an old friend in Rotterdam
the city where i was born and lived until i was 9 and we moved to a village
i moved back to Rotterdam, this time to the centre, when i was 22
i lived and worked there, (met my Love and our two sons were born there),
until 13 years ago we moved to the village where we still live

Rotterdam is the place that i (still) call 'home'
my heart leaps a little when i hear the name Rotterdam
and so fine, the water is always nearby  ;^))
the best way to approach the city is from the east:
the view of the city driving along the Maasboulevard is beautiful

i am not sure all this fits the theme
but for me Rotterdam is one of 'the keys' that makes me me



een paar weken geleden bracht ik, samen met een oude vriend, de dag door in Rotterdam
de stad waar ik ben geboren en leefde tot ik 9 was en we verhuisden naar een dorp
ik verhuisde terug naar Rotterdam, dit keer naar het centrum, toen ik 22 was
ik woonde en werkte er, (leerde mijn Lief kennen en onze beide zonen werden er geboren), 
tot we 13 jaar geleden verhuisden naar het dorp waar we nu nog steeds wonen

Rotterdam is de plaats die ik (nog steeds) 'thuis' noem
mijn hart maakt een sprongetje als ik de naam Rotterdam hoor
en ook zo fijn, het water is altijd vlakbij  ;^))
de beste manier om de stad te benaderen is vanaf de oostkant:
het zicht op de stad rijdend over de Maasboulevard is prachtig

ik ben niet zeker of dit alles past bij het thema
maar voor mij is Rotterdam een van 'de sleutels' die mij mij maakt
