for me spring break means spring-clean!
with the windows wide open
i declutter, clean cabinets and wash the curtains
fresh air in the house and in my head
in a box i found these crocheted circles
with the colors of beach, sea and dunes
which will be once a blanket
i can almost smell it
spring is coming!
voor mij betekent voorjaarsvakantie voorjaarsschoonmaak!
met de ramen wijd open
ruim ik op, maak kasten schoon en was de gordijnen
frisse lucht in het huis en in mijn hoofd
in een doos vond ik deze gehaakte cirkels
met de kleuren van het strand, zee en de duinen
die eens een deken zullen zijn
ik kan het bijna ruiken
de lente komt eraan!
Mooi! Een kunstwerk in wording, een deken van gekleurde zeeschelpen! (Mijn kleuren)!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenJij hebt moed en veel geduld. Prachtig. Ben gek op grote hoeveelheden van dezelfde vorm. Ja ik weet het, dit is raar, 1 kastanje is noooiit genoeg... Vooral die open ramen, de frisse lucht, de was weer buiten, de jas los..... ja hoor, we zitten op 1 lijn!

I like the texture (very subtle) of these. And when I read that they depicted colours of the beach, sea and dunes, I thought that they were just perfect. It's nice to see them all displayed together. BeantwoordenVerwijderenYour beautiful circles takes me to Monet's garden with lily pads floating in the sunshine by the bridge. Spring means cleaning here to. Inside the house and in the garden. Time to bring out the table and chairs for morning coffees and toast. I hope you'll show us the blank when it's all sewn together. xo

They will definitely make the most wonderful blanket. Spring cleaning is something I love to do. Out with the old and all that stuff. X
