het thema van deze week doet me verlangen naar de lente en de zomer....
* linosnede op papier met bloemblaadjes en een geborduurd takje en blaadjes
zie meer vlinders fladderen bij Nadine
dit kopje heb ik al ruim 20 jaar
en nog steeds word ik geraakt door de tekening en de letters
het doet me denken aan Icarus
maar aan het mooie van die mythe
dat, als ik echt iets wil, ik het kan
met voldoende zelfvertrouwen en zonder roekeloos te worden

and still I am touched by the drawing and typography
it reminds me of Icarus
but the beauty of the myth
that, if I really want something, I can
with enough confidence and without being reckless
morgen is mijn broer jarig en dat maakt me wat somber
omdat ik dan graag daar zou willen zijn en niet hier
dus, ondanks dat:
- we morgen natúúrlijk taart eten!
- het fijn was hier te zijn (voor een klant), tussen al die fijne meubelen
- het door de sneeuw en als de zon schijnt heerlijk licht is in huis
- de amaryllissen blijven bloeien
ondanks dat, ben ik toch aan het somberen........

tomorrow is my brother's birthday and that makes me sad
because I would rather be there and not here
so, despite the fact that:
- we will eat cake tomorrow, of course!
- it was nice to be here (for a customer), among all those fine furniture
- through the snow and as the sun is shining the house is so wonderfully light
- the amaryllis remain flowering
even though, I am still in the gloomy........
